The Internet version would be great but it wouldn┤t replace the need for a
version on CD, I don┤t think, mainly because an Internet connection is not
always available and sometimes the connection is not always fast enough to
enable us to make efficient use of the online material.

Assunto: Corpora: COLT CD?
> Dear CORPORA-subscribers,
> The processing of the COLT-material (The Bergen Corpus of London Teenage
> Language) is in its final stages. (1) The original plan was to produce a
> CD-rom with text and sound, but now that both text and sound can be made
> accessible on the internet, we are beginning to wonder whether the CD
> version is still attractive or whether the internet version is maybe
> Moreover, we need testers for judging the level of accuracy of the text &
> sound on the web. So would anybody be willing to test the material in
> exchange for free access to the entire material?
> Please let me have your reaction.
